Leaving Certificate Music classes are designed for students who are singers or instrumentalists.

-One-year course for Leaving Cert. held Wednesday evenings

-‘Fast Track Theory’ classes for theory beginners

Classes take place once a week in Coláiste Éamann Rís for an hour and a half. The two year course is aimed at students attending 5th year in school who will complete the course over 2 years. The one year course is very intensive and covers all theoretical aspects of the course in just the one year. The weekly ‘Fast-Track Theory’ class is offered free of charge to CCMC Leaving Cert. Music students who may not have undertaken music theory before. In addition, advice on practical work is offered and our Coláiste Éamann Rís centre is a registered centre with the State Exams Commission for practical examinations. Classes are available to both CCMC students and external students. All external students must contact the Course Director, Virginia Metcalfe, to determine their eligibility for the classes.
